KIRIBAKO Privacy Policy

Hiroyuki Hirata (the "Operator") hereby establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users of the iOS application "KIRIBAKO" (the "App") provided by the Operator.

This Policy applies to all situations in which users of the App use the App.

The App stores the following information primarily on the user's device to improve user convenience (only the first-launch date used for free-trial management is also stored in the user's own iCloud; see §2.4 / §4.1). No data is transmitted to the Operator's servers.

2.2 Information Collected Optionally (Only with Explicit Consent)

The capture location is collected and stored only when the user has explicitly enabled "Save location" in the settings screen. By default, location is not collected.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

The App does not collect any user identification information or usage statistics (analytics) that would be transmitted to external servers.

2.4 Information Related to In-App Purchases

The App offers some features via in-app purchases (one-time purchase / subscription). Purchases and the verification of purchase status are handled through Apple's App Store (StoreKit); the Operator does not collect or retain any personally identifiable payment information such as credit card details. For managing the free trial period, the App stores only the first-launch date (a date value) in the user's own iCloud (see §4.1). Photos, location, and catch data are never passed to the purchase process.

The collected information is used only for the following purposes.

All information is stored only on the user's device, with one exception noted below. No data is transmitted to any third-party server, including those of the Operator.

Data is retained unless the user performs a delete operation within the App. Users can delete individual catches at any time, and all data is deleted when the App is uninstalled.

The App uses the following third-party services. These services communicate only to the extent necessary for displaying maps and do not transmit information that identifies individual users of the App.

Communication with these services occurs only on the map screen, catch detail screen, or purchase screen. No communication occurs on other screens of the App. In-app purchases are processed through Apple's system without the Operator's servers being involved. Communication with the Anthropic Claude API occurs only on the Operator's system in response to emails received at the support address ([email protected], etc.); the App itself never communicates with this service.

Users can manage their data at any time through the following operations within the App.

The App is not specifically targeted at any age group, but if children under 13 use the App, please do so with parental consent. The App does not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from children.

11. Applicable Laws

This Policy is governed by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (APPI). When users use the App outside of Japan, they shall also comply with the laws of the relevant country, and this Policy applies to the extent that it does not violate the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other relevant laws.

12. Revisions

The Operator may revise this Policy as necessary. The revised Policy takes effect from the time it is posted in the App or on a website designated by the Operator. Important changes will be notified within the App or by email (if a contact has been registered).

13.1 AI Processing of Support Emails

For operational efficiency, the Operator may send the content of emails received at the support address ([email protected], etc.) to Anthropic's Claude API for classification and draft response generation.
